February is Black History Month. While schools and libraries are teaching history, including Black History, there is always something to learn. We can learn about many important people and events in a very beneficial way: reading. While there are a million and one titles of all kinds of different books out there- fiction, non-fiction, poetry, autobiographies, biographies, and the list goes on and on- I created a list to help get the conversation started with you and your loved ones. It is important to be informed, not only about what is going on in our world today, but what has happened in our past to shape our country into what we see today. We should all be well-informed and continue working towards making our world better, always. That can start with educating ourselves, and especially educating our young ones.
