Shop Local, Eat Fresh: Your Guide to Clarksville’s Farmers Markets

Story by: Izabel Hershey

That time of year is rolling around again when farmers markets are back in season! Here in Clarksville, we’re lucky to have such a strong community of local farmers and makers. With exciting markets starting in May, including both returning favorites and new additions, there’s no better time to explore and shop local. Here’s a roundup of some of the must-visit markets this spring and summer!

Downtown Clarksville Farmers Market

Starting May 10, the Downtown Farmers Market will be back in full swing every Saturday morning until October 4. Held in the heart of downtown, this beloved market is a weekly tradition for many. Expect a lively mix of local farmers, artisans, and food trucks. It’s perfect for families—don’t miss the adorable petting zoo, grab a sweet treat from one of the food trucks, and enjoy some of the best the community has to offer.

Sango Night Market

Returning for its second year, the Sango Night Market will run every Monday evening from Memorial Day to Labor Day! This year, the market will take place at Real Life Sango Church, offering a family-friendly atmosphere with a playground for kids and Beck’s Farmhouse Coffee inside to cool off and give us all the feel-good caffeine boost. Monday nights from 4-7 p.m. will be a great way to unwind with live music, local vendors, and a fun outdoor environment!

Thursday Night Market at Old Glory

Old Glory Distilling Co. is bringing something special to Clarksville with the Thursday Night Market at their scenic Silo Park. Starting May 8 through November 6, this weekly market will take place from 5-8 p.m. and will feature a variety of local vendors, making it the perfect way to unwind midweek. Enjoy the lively atmosphere, sip on a delicious drink, and discover unique local goods.

Sunday on Strawberry

The first Sunday of every month (April-November) means it’s time for Sunday on Strawberry! From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Strawberry Alley in downtown Clarksville will be filled with local vendors offering fresh produce, handmade goods, and unique finds. Whether you’re grabbing brunch or enjoying a post-church shopping spree, this is the perfect way to spend your Sunday morning in the heart of the city.

Third Thursdays at Beachaven Winery

Third Thursdays at Beachaven Winery take shopping to the next level with a perfect blend of wine, live music, and artisan goods. Running from April to November, this monthly event offers a beautiful outdoor setting to sip, shop, and enjoy an evening with friends. With delicious wine and a handpicked selection of vendors, this market is ideal for those looking to mix retail therapy with relaxation.

Clarksville and Beyond

While Clarksville has plenty to offer, there are also great markets happening nearby! In April, check out the Craftsman’s Fair at Old Glory Distilling Co. on April 12, followed by the Hoptown Makers’ Market on April 13. If you’re up for a short drive, the Cheatham County Farmers Market and Ashland City Farmers Market are also worth visiting!

Whether you’re a Clarksville local or just passing through, the spring and summer months are the perfect time to support local businesses, enjoy fresh produce, and discover handmade treasures. Grab your tote bag, bring a friend, and get ready to shop locally this season!
